In this session we will be looking at Logic Programming within the Riedel Artist Intercom System, specifically how to:

  • Time-shift commands
  • Use bistable gates
  • Create inbuilt safechecks

There will be plenty of opportunity for Q&A during the session.

This session is free of charge. It is primarily designed for Technicians and Engineers who want to go deeper into what Artist can do, and learn about using Boolean Logic and gates to solve common problems with Intercom Systems.

There will be practical exercises to complete, using the (Windows-only) Director software - please ensure you have a copy installed before the session starts! You will find the session easier if you are able to be working with two screens.

We expect participants to have already used the Director software, and know how to do the following:

  • Create a new node
  • Program the cards within a node
  • Create and name ports
  • Put functions on keys
  • Work with GPIOs

We also expect participants to have some experience of:

  • Boolean logic
  • Truth tables
  • Basic logic functions in Artist

If you have never worked with intercom before then please first participate in our Artist Intermediate and Logic Programming workshops, available free of charge at

This session will start at 09:00 Central European Time (UTC+1) / 08:00 UK Time (UTC+0)

Start: 26 February 2021
