The expectation of this course is that the user has a solid foundation and understanding of how Artist is put together and what the basic workflow of Director UI is…and to immediately explore the Director UI on a deeper level.
Director advanced will begin with a review of the fundamental procedures required to launch configure and connect Director to Artist as well as manipulate the basic administrative functions involved in creating saving and loading a base configuration file.
Once we recreate this environment we will move forward into an in-depth practical review of preparing the UI as a template involving all administrative functions of Director UI management, configuration file management, a review of the more global items such as Artist Online View, Configuration Tree, Node Configuration Table along with topics such as global Web/Net/Node properties as well as User and User Rights configuration.
Once our template is established we will dig deep into the numerous routine production configuration topics such as Port Properties and Key Functions for panels and 4-wires.
Moving forward we will introduce you to many of the modular production and engineering workflows available in Director such as IFB Table, Scroll Lists, Matrix Input Monitor, Ports Thumb tab, Crosspoint View, and IP Statistics windows…items you may use in daily production configuration or engineering troubleshooting.
Finally we will look at a few of the more commonly used software “add-ons” hosted by Director, additional product modules that can be enabled for special production purposes such as Trunking/Trunk Navigator and Partial Files.
