This presentation will be held online via the Microsoft Teams Platform on Tuesday May 18th @ 11 am PDT.
Over the past decades, SDI has proven to be a reliable and practical standard for the distribution of video, audio and data signals – and it will continue to be an important building block in broadcast facilities and production in the next years. However, IP-based systems have emerged to form a powerful and flexible infrastructure that can accommodate the increasing demands for higher-resolution video and better connectivity. Riedel’s most recent answer to the challenges arising from the IP transformation is a range of innovative SFP-based technologies to complement the existing MediorNet Distributed video portfolio.
In this session, we will be introducing the new MediorNet IP family (Embrionix Inside) by exploring the mains pillars of Distributed video infrastructures:
- Distributed Gateways and Processing
- Distributed and remote I/Os
- Distributed MultiViewer
- Distributed Video Compression (JPEG-2000, JPEG-XS)
- Applications and Designs
There will be time for Q&A at the end of the session.
Prerequisites:
This Product Overview webinar is primarily designed for broadcast Engineers and Engineering Executives who are looking for a comprehensive Distributed video solution but is also open to anyone who would like to learn more about Riedel’s MediorNet IP portfolio.
We will assume that participants are familiar with the general high-level understanding of the following IT/IP concept :
- IP standards: ST2110-20, ST2110-22, 2022-6, 2022-7 (hitless redundancy), NMOS
- IP building blocks: Spine/Leaf architecture, Commercial-Off-The-Shelf switch, Top Of Rack switches
